Assenta Rail was awarded certification as an Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) in 2019. We are certified for Freight vehicles and received attestation for passenger stock. As an ECM we are one of only a small number in the United Kingdom and the only non-operator ECM currently in the country. Our expertise in this field has delivered our existing clients for whom we currently act as ECM significant benefits in maxmimising the efficiencies of their maintenance processes and further developing their internal systems to increase performance. Our ECM services include:
Nominated ECM offering our clients the opportunity to delegate their ECM responsibilities over to us for Assenta Rail to manage their complete Maintenance Management System
Process and System Review of internal company procedures and systems to identify areas which can be developed or enhanced to maximise value for the client
Internal and External Audit Services including auditing internal business operations providing an independent verification check on client’s existing operations and external audits including supplier audits to ensure client’s are receiving maximum value from suppliers and only utilising the services of suitably competent suppliers
Competence Management Services ensuring that client staff (and any external contractors) are suitably qualified to undertake the work assigned to them
VMI and VMOI Reviews to ensure that maintenance processes for rail vehicles are suitably produced to warrant that procedures are robust and encompassing all required elements of maintenance but also to identify areas where efficiencies could be delivered e.g. Exam periodicity
